Every 21st of June, the whole world celebrates the festival of music and Casablanca is not left out. On this occasion, the 2019 edition of the “Fête de la Musique by Wecasablanca Festival” will propose an ambitious festival where the quality and diversity of the program will meet the musical tastes of a large audience!
Organized by Casablanca Events & Animation from June 19th to 22nd , 2019, the latter is a true artistic highlight of the city, an essential summer event for all in inhabitants of Casablanca in search of musical discovery … and much more! Popular and free event, it will mobilize as usual many public and private actors, reaffirming that music is “par excellence”, the artistic field where difference brings together.
With more than 20 concerts on 5 venues, the Music Festival will feature both classical and contemporary music from here and elsewhere. Indeed, these 4 days will be the fruit of strong collaborations and will promise many surprises. These include, among others, the classical side: An open-air concert of the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, Place des Nations Unies on Friday, June 21st, as well as a surprising Jazz Trio for a spectacular concert on the stage of the sports complex Mohammed V on Saturday June 22nd.
In terms of contemporary music, the temptations will also be numerous: The scene of the Mohammed V Sports Complex will be animated on June 19th by the dreadfully serious rock and the crudely Casaouis texts of Betweenatna; the 20th of June will be animated by the meaningful titles and the joyfully offbeat world of the Hoba Hoba Spirit and the inevitable Barry; The summer solstice will finally be celebrated on the sharp flow and the beautiful sounds of the famous Moroccan rapper Muslim.
The 2019 music festival will finally accompany the amateur musical practice, thus affirming the will of Casablanca Events & Animation to make this festival a real moment of sharing and a popular gathering. Indeed, the latter will be marked by a great novelty: a mobile stage, the Caravan Wecasablanca, which will crisscross the districts of Al Fida, Sidi Bernoussi, Hay Mohammadi and Maarif to host concerts organized in partnership with the association Free l’Fen. The 14 finalists of the 2nd StudLive will have the chance to perform on the stage of Place des Nations Unies, an evening where will be proclaimed the winner of the edition.
