Surpassing oneself, team spirit and readiness for effort… These values are the bedrock of the Al- Amal Living Lab (living lab of hope) project, the first facility combining sports and the ecology at the regional level. The metamorphosis of the Al Amal complex is one of the main projects for the evolution of the city of Casablanca into a Smart City.
This choice is by no means random; it corresponds to the city’s desire to promote youth as a driver for development building on sports and environmental protection.
To transform this facility into a multi-sports site offering infrastructure that meets international standards, whilst offering the inhabitants of Casablanca the opportunity to access it to engage in various sports disciplines… It’s also about improving access to infrastructure, but not only. For its rehabilitation and construction, this new facility will integrate renewable energies and the optimization of water resources. Furthermore, the project will promote R&D through the transformation of the site into a living lab for scientific research and vocational training in professions related to renewable energies, energy efficiency and environmental services. It will also focus on involving schools in ecological awareness-raising, through the creation of an educational plan focusing on the facility’s nursery.
– Larbi Zaouli Complex
Located right in the heart of Hay Mohammadi, the complex Larbi Zaouli spreads over a surface of 15 000 m2 and counts two swimming pools, multidisciplinary spaces, event rooms as well as mini soccer fields. The site was named after the former player, trainer and president of the TAS Casablanca and is the second biggest stadium in Casablanca. Several important competitions have already taken place in this court, namely the CAF Cup in 1999. The upgrade of the complex and the improvement of its managerial department stands as an increasing concern to us, that we are currently working on.
-Sports facilities of proximity
One of our biggest challenges is to develop the youth and sports sector. This project is part of the social upgrading program for the Greater Casablanca region.
As such, we will build new facilities, equip the existing facilities as well as refurbish and upgrade public facilities for the development of youth and sports in the provinces of Casablanca, Mohammedia, Nouaceur and Mediouna.
For this project, we are supported by the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Wilaya of the Casablanca-Settat Region and the Council of the Casablanca-Settat Region.
